Make a Difference in Your Community
At MWASA, volunteers are the heart of our operations. Whether you are assisting with school outreach programs, providing support in peer counseling sessions, coordinating events, or managing our social media presence, your contribution has a direct impact on the mental wellness of youth in Western Kenya.
Anyone aged 18 and older living in Western Kenya is welcome to join our volunteer team—no prior experience in mental health is needed. We provide all the necessary training, including a comprehensive 2-day orientation and basic mental health first aid, along with ongoing mentorship from our experienced staff.
We understand that our volunteers have busy lives, which is why we offer flexible scheduling with a minimum commitment of just 4 hours per month.
